we are celebrating Christmas at my parents’ today, and then tomorrow we’ll be here to celebrate. jerry works tomorrow afternoon, so i probably won’t see anyone until after then!

jamin has been getting so big. i couldn’t believe it when i saw him on his knees on saturday night. then when i came out of the boys’ room, he had turned himself completely around. i am just shocked and amazed that he is growing up so fast. it’s very sad to me!! but if it’s possible, he also gets cuter by the day.

in other news, i got my birthday present from jerry - an mp3 player!!
i got my Christmas gift from jerry - a really nice convection toaster oven! it can fit two pies in it!!!

jamin’s eye is fine. it actually looked normal for the portraits on monday. thank you so much for your prayers!!

i had a great birthday on the 18th. it was one of the best ones in a while.

so why am i posting another prayer request? well jerry and i made some VERY stupid mistakes in the past few days and two of our accounts are majorly overdrawn, mainly because of insane overdraft fees. please pray for us to scrape the money together to at least close these accounts. 

thanks and hopefully i’ll have a positive post again some day soon.

the little guy woke up in his normal happy mood. smiling and giggling. he was still a little tired, and so was i, so we settled back into bed to nurse for a bit. he moves his arms around a lot, and flung a hand and hit himself. at first, i didn’t know where he’d hit himself, but i knew he’d done it, because he was SCREAMING bawling. finally jerry and i got him calm, and i saw it was his right eye. it’s still swollen and red on the outside, and kind of bloodshot-looking on the eyeball. it waters even when he’s not crying. if he’s awake long enough to open it, he starts screaming and crying hysterically again. so he wants to be sleeping (or nursing while sleeping).
he is sooo miserable. :sadcry: any advice on how to make him feel better? how about how to help heal it up quickly?
to top it all off, remember i have family portraits scheduled for tomorrow morning. :frusty:
anyway please pray for my little angel!

wow this post is so long overdue!

jamin turned 4 months old on sunday. he weighed 14 lbs. i didn’t measure him, but he’s a tall boy! he’s wearing mostly 6 month clothes because of his length.

he is a total joy, a light in our lives. we are so absolutely in love with him. he is by far the least demanding of the three boys, and his big brothers just adore him. jeremiah thinks he’s funny because jamin smiles and laughs at him. :love: josiah calls him his little chick, because his fuzzy head feels like downy feathers. :love:
we honestly couldn’t be more in love with this precious little boy.

here are some recent pics (i also have some in a santa hat, but they are on the camera, not on a memory card, and i can’t find the cord to get the pics of the camera!!):

his eyes are completely normal now. it’s really like he never had an issue! he is seeing and interacting perfectly. he smiles and laughs at us and makes eye contact. i actually called the eye dr yesterday to cancel the appointment. i want to thank everyone SO MUCH for your prayers.

jeremiah just gets smarter every day. he is really working on his letters. we aren’t doing any official schooling or anything - just talking about letters, playing with letters, reading, watching pbs shows (word world, super why and between the lions). he’s always saying “what starts ___?” (like, what starts noodle? meaning, what does noodle start with. ) i really need to go through the alphabet with him to find out what he KNOWS. i have been so horrible with keeping track of this kind of thing. just this week he has started on a counting kick. he can count six things correctly consistently. he can get up to 13 or more, but that’s not consistent. he is so proud of himself - showing us that he can count his toys lined up in a nice little row. today he was showing jerry, and jerry said “jeremiah, you are so adorable!” and he nodded and said “yeah, and crazy too.” LOL. he’s so silly! oh another thing he said last week…he was going to have nap on the recliner and jerry’s deodorant was in the chair. he said “but mama, i can’t sleep there yet because papa’s guyoderant is there.” ROFL. so i guess mine is girlodorant? oh he’s so cute!

josiah is just a doll himself. he is doing better lately, imo, with his attitude and listening. just today, he’s had the best day in a long time. he didn’t get in trouble hardly at all. PTL!!! he is such a sweet little boy. such a big heart, sweet smile, fun personality, sparkly eyes, adorable voice, chubby cheeks (very kissable!). i just love him so much. it’s so hard when i’m frustrated with him, because i also know what an angel he is. sigh.

i’m so thankful for my men. jerry and the boys are so precious and important to me. i’m so in love with all of them. i wouldn’t trade any of them for anything.

oh, i don’t think i mentioned this, but a few weeks ago, we had family pics taken for our church directory (we LOVE our new church btw!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and they turned out so badly. i was so disappointed, because i was hoping to use those pics as our family portraits for this year. nope, not happening. the guy was like someone who’d never worked with children in his life. sigh. so we have an appt. set up for monday at jc penney’s. it’s our last month to be club members, and we won’t be renewing. i like the portraits usually, but they are always too crazy-busy. i think we will probably get a target membership next time. or maybe we’ll wait for the portrait innovations that are supposed to come to the mall soon! yeah, that’s what we’ll do. (thinking while i’m writing here LOL)

thanks so much to everyone who entered the contest! it meant a lot to me. i was (and am) really disappointed in the turn-out. but hopefully people will still find a way to trickle in to the store. unfortunately, this tuesday is the last day i can take orders for Christmas for tangible gifts. (i can take orders at any time, but i do not guarantee it being to your house for Christmas!) i can still do photo card designs indefinitely - because anyone can always use a one-hour photo place.

anyway, once again, congrats to katrina, and thanks to everyone! hopefully if we have another contest in the future, it will be more of a contest.
