monday night we had two ear catastrophes.
jeremiah slipped in the bathroom, his head landed on the side of the tub, and he hurt his ear. he has a big blood blister on it, and it’s still a tiny bit swollen today. it was at the top, so i’m pretty sure his hearing is ok.

somehow josiah got ahold of a q-tip (he is always finding everything) and he came over to me, holding it in his ear, i reached for it, and he jerked away, causing it to go deep into his ear. he let out a bloodcurdling scream and wouldn’t stop screaming and crying for maybe 6 minutes straight. i calmed him finally with nursing and rocking, but he still didn’t want me to touch it.
after a while we thought he was ok…
but yesterday i was holding him and i noticed some dark small flaky things around his ear canal. i got a q-tip wet and got in there near the edge, as he still doesn’t want me anywhere near his ear. i am pretty sure it’s blood. it’s a deep rust color.
i am kinda scared - could he do major damage to his ear drum?
i didn’t notice until it was almost time for jerry to leave for work. also, josiah was just at the dr for his checkup the day before, so we do NOT have another 20 dollars to be seen.
i ran him into the dr first thing this morning. they were kind enough to not charge us. (praise the Lord!!)
she said there was a fresh blood clot in the ear. she said it should heal fine if he continues to leave it alone, but if it starts to run pussy looking stuff to call the dr on call.

i’m so thankful he should be ok…one more reason to be thankful tomorrow, huh?

what are your thanksgiving plans? i am SO THANKFUL that my husband is going to be off for thanksgiving! i’m so very excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we will be going to my parents’ house. i believe my brother will be the only other family member present. that makes me so sad. i remember when we celebrated thanksgiving with lots of people…

last night jeremiah started sleeping on the other toddler bed. it was given to my mom to give to us. LOL. it’s red, so it’s MUCH neater for him. and he wants to sleep on it without the safety rail. so last night, BUMP in the night took on a whole new meaning! LOL. every time, he would cry, we would go in and comfort him and ask him if he wanted the rail. no, he would always reply. i told him that if he stayed close to the wall it would be safer and he probably wouldn’t fall out. so early this morning when i got up to nurse josiah, i noticed that he was right up against the wall. lol. cutie!!

josiah has been talking more and more everyday. he repeats SO MUCH now. i didn’t realize he knew how to say “baby,” but today he was saying “awww, baby, baby”. when i looked to see what he was talking about, he was holding and snuggling a baby-doll leg. LOL. he was walking around carrying it and kinda rocking it like it was a baby. oh it was so darling! it was one of those times that i wished i’d had the video camera right there with me.

i am just so in love with my boys. they are so precious and so amazing and so wonderful. i’m talking about all three of them, of course. i couldn’t ask for anything more than them. i am so thankful for them. *tear*

i miss everyone. i haven’t been good at all about my visiting, so i understand why i haven’t had vistors. i know it’s a two-way street. but i thought i would let you know that i DO miss you all.

we have a new product: jerry made some adorable designs that we are going to be using for shirts and anything else we can think of. we have all sorts of animals, and we’re coming up with more things every day!!!

if you can think of a good name for the product, please let me know. we were thinking “THE BMC BUNCH” but we want to put “A BMC ORIGINAL” on it, and those two together will sound really lame. so any help would be great!!!!

update! well it’s been a year, LOL, but we came up with a name! Lil’ Characters! and we have a new site for it! visit lil’ Characters today!
