jeremiah is scaring me with his rolling around! i leave him on the floor in one place, and he’s across the room the next time i see him!! we really need to get him a playpen!!!
grampa is going MAJORLY downhill. he doesn’t remember where he is, what’s going on, even who we are at times. he asks the same things over and over, gets the same answer and still asks it again. :sad::sad::sad::sad::sad::sad::sad::sad:
please pray for us big-time. we are going through a majorly difficult ordeal over here. i don’t think it will be long before he dies, and there is a lot of behind the scenes stuff that i don’t want to post here. if you’re interested in it and want to pray for us about it, please email me or use the contact form and i’ll let you know. i know this site is now pw protected, but i still don’t want to air it before everyone. know what i mean?

we are going to be offline for a few days. we’re switching tv providers - from cable to the dish. we are also getting things in our name as opposed to grampa’s name, so we have to get the cable modem disconnected until friday. therefore, no net access for a few days!

jeremiah is such a sweet, smart angel baby! he is changing and learning so much.
since he has been feeling his teeth popping out, he has been making a very cute funny face almost all the time. it’s kind of indescribable, but sort of looks like someone who eats something a bit sour. a bit puckery. lol. but SO CUTE!
he is sitting up longer and longer lately (after being sat up). he is doing better getting to sleep. he is playing more on his own. he is recognizing everyone he knows. he smiles and laughs for a REAL REASON. he has been screaming and yelling at us all the time. not real cries, but like - ‘hey you big people, come over here and meet my every WHIM!’ lol. we have to tell him ‘no’ often, though we don’t think he quite gets that yet. he talks to us like he really knows what he’s saying, and often it sounds like real words.

but we communicate just fine!
we are trying to teach him some baby signs. first of all i’m trying ‘more’ and ‘all done’, since i want him to tell me when he wants more food or when he’s full. so far i only get smiles about it, no real recognition. as soon as he masters these two, we’ll be moving on to other things!
he is noticing kc much more (to kc’s chagrine! LOL). yesterday jerry was holding both kc and jeremiah, and jeremiah was petting him, and also tried to take a bit out of him! lol! you know, babies’ best way to learn is through their mouths! lol! kc didn’t appreciate that though, so he left. hehe.
jerry is enjoying his new job, though it’s really tough work. he comes home with all sorts of bumps and bruises on his body. but he overall likes it.
grampa seems to be going downhill pretty rapidly. please pray for all of us involved, because it’s getting harder and harder to take care of him around here.
i took a few photos with the 35mm cam today. i’m excited to see how they turn out. i really am not as happy with my digicam as i was before, since it doesn’t have as many pixels as i’d like.
cereal and food-wise, sweet potatoes were a hit last week, but this week it’s delicious carrots! yum! today they were a success!
well time for mi-mi’s bath!

yesterday jeremiah did several things that prove to us he’s growing UP!
first of all, he’s been rolling from his tummy to his back for quite a while now, but not the other way. last night he rolled from his back to his tummy, to his back to his tummy, to his back again! not like a rolling thing, but stopping on his tummy to play a while. it was SO adorable!!!
then, i was practicing his sitting up skills. he usually likes to be pulled up to a sitting position, and will fall right over when i let go. well, last night, he stayed sitting for THREE MINUTES! i was SO PROUD of him!
then, later last night, he was doing the pull-crawl thing. not a real crawl, but a scoot-crawl!
he was spending a lot of time playing independently, which was a big difference. he likes to be entertained a lot. lol. that also showed us how much he’s changing.
i couldn’t believe he did all this in one day! my little precious baby is growing up too fast!!!
just wanted to get that down….

well today jerry bought a new high chair. i totally hate the design on it. i’m going to have to get a new cover for it. oh, well, it was pretty cheap and it’s pretty sturdy…

yesterday was father’s day. jerry’s first father’s day with jeremiah in his arms! he had a good day. he is the best father ever, and i wish i could have done more for his special day. i ordered two of jeremiah’s best photos from his last month’s wal-mart trip. one of them i placed in a double frame, and on the other side, i put in a poem, as follows:

Hold my hand, Papa,
And carry me.
Kiss my forehead
To comfort me.

Hold my hand, Papa,
And teach me.
Help me become the man
You know I can be.

i found the poem in pea soup at twopeasinabucket.com. it originally said ‘daddy’ instead of papa, and i also added the second stanza.
the second picture was the one of jeremiah and me. he colored a picture (i put a marker in his hand, cap toward him, and held a paper in front of him, and he chewed on the cap and moved the marker around on the paper. LOL) and i put our photo in the center of it and framed it. then i typed up a letter from jeremiah and me for his card.

now for the dedication! i made a whole page about it, and a photo collage of it. it was a wonderful, special time for us all!

well that’s it for now - papa can’t get the little man to sleep without me! poor guy!

kindred caleb gigowski, our beloved dachshund, is four years old! i still remember when we brought him home!! he was such a cute, tiny little thing. out of the litter, he was the smallest and most rowdy. perfect for us!
now, he’s a long, lean full-grown dog, but he’s still a puppy at heart.
we hope one of these days he’ll learn to love his baby brother, but for now he just tries to avoid him at all costs.
he still barks his little head off when he hears anyone coming to the door, but once he knows they are cool with us, he is friendly as all getout!
we love our little ornery dachshund.
happy fourth birthday, little guy!!

my lil man is five months old today. WOW.
he’s such a big boy!
and goodness me, the teething is making the poor guy so miserable! he just cries and screams and cries! anyone who wants to give us teething advice - PLEASE DO! orajel and tylenol don’t seem to do the trick for him.
he went to the dr’s yesterday to make sure his ear infection is totally gone, or that he hasn’t gotten a new one. all clear there!
he weighed in at 16lbs12oz and was 26″ long.
oh, i made a new layout for his site in honor of his five month birthday. let me know what you think!
the little angel finally fell asleep after about an hour of screaming. i was finally able to rock him into dreamland. poor guy!!!! :sad:
i pray he feels better on sunday. we are not only celebrating father’s day, but jeremiah will be having his dedication ceremony at church.
oh, another cute thing - he has finally found his thumb! he never liked his thumb before, he preferred the whole hand, or his fingers instead. but he has been CHEWING on his thumb lately. left hand only, which adds to my suspicion jeremiah might be a lefty!!

jeremiah is taking a nap so i’m going to see if i can get a real post in here!
i can’t believe that he will be five months old on friday! my little tiny baby, nearly half a year old. sigh.
he is changing and growing so much every day, it’s very hard to keep up with him! i feel that if i don’t spend a minute of his awake time with him, i will miss everything!
i was looking at the miracle of his hands last night. how he puts his hand out to touch my hair, pat my chest, or caress my face is SO precious. his little chubby, dimpled hands are impossibly adorable.
yesterday, he started waving back at me. it’s hard to think it’s just a coincidence, since he did it three times in a row. this morning, he did it twice.
he is of course a pro at rolling from his tummy to his back. if you just lie him on his belly, flat, he will put his arms up to hold his head up. he needs very little support to sit up, and litle help to hold himself up in a sitting position. he LOVES standing up with us, and will pull himself to standing when we hold his hands.
kicking! boy does this boy love to kick! his favorite kicking is in the tub, but he likes to kick no matter where he is!
his little feet are his newest infatuation. he loves to hold both his feet in his hands, and bring them to his mouth. while he can’t get both in his mouth at the same time, he sure tries! lol! even when he’s eating cereal, he will want to follow up each bite with a nibble on a toe here and there.
he is getting cereal 2-3 times a day, and only 0-2 bottles of formula a day. the rest of his meal, the main part, is still breastmilk. i’m so excited and proud of this! i don’t think we’ll stop nursing any time soon! yay!
he it teething really bad now. he will cry his little eyes out about his poor gums. he will bite our fingers HARD too to try to sooth himself. it’s so sad! we are using tylenol and baby orajel to help him out when it gets too bad. a cute thing he does that i think is from his teething, is stick out his tounge all the time. it’s so precious!
he’s up now but in a good mood so we’ll see how long i can continue posting!
another thing he likes to do is sing. he makes little noises along to music, just like he’s singing along. it’s SO cute! and he LOVES it when anyone, especially me, sings to him. our new favorite is ‘bushel and a peck’. he especially likes the hug around the neck part.
he is still sleeping in his bouncer, but it’s on the floor now, not in his bed.
well he’s getting a bit lonely, so i’m going to see what he needs!
