last night was our first expectant parents’ class. it was from 700 to 930. it was very fun, informative, but tiring. lol. jerry learned some nice massaging techniques. the nurse who taught it has been doing it for years, so she talked fast, and was a little on the odd side. but i liked her. she let us out half an hour early, which we all loved. the class is about how to handle pregnancy (the aches, pains, etc), and also how the birth will be. it’s to prepare us for anything and to be able to expect anything in the birth. we know we won’t have a perfect birth. it’s a four-part class, and on the third night we will get a tour of the labor and delivery section in the hospital. i’m looking forward to that part. she’s also giving us a goodie bag of things each week. woohoo! gotta love free stuff! so far it’s a reminder of things i’ve read, but it’s also neat to HEAR it. since i’m a visual and audio learner, it helps me to hear it as well as read it. but for jerry it’s mostly new. i have tried to get him to read books about pregnancy and stuff, to no avail. so this is a lot for him. anyway, i’m glad we’re taking the class. we are also taking a breastfeeding class and a newborn care class. i’m looking forward to those too.

ever i saw your face…
well it wasn’t the first time, but it was the first time that you looked like a real-live chubby baby!!! you are such a beautiful boy!!!!! i really am having problems with all this waiting to hold you!! your papa and i really enjoyed seeing you today. your papa had tears. with every time he sees you, he realizes the reality of you a little more. i know he is going to be MAD about you once you’re in his arms!!!!! You are so adorable, with your chubby cheeks and precious lips visible! What a doll-baby!!

well, the dr’s appt. was great all around.
my placenta has risen, and is in the normal place! yay!! so no need to worry about that anymore. thanks for all the prayers!
my gestational diabetes test was negative. yay!!!! my level was 133, and they consider it gd with 140, so i cut it close! just so everyone knows, the stuff i drank was NOT as bad as i thought it would be. they gave me a choice between orange soda taste or sprite taste, and i chose sprite taste, and it tasted JUST like it. the only thing was drinking it SO fast, when i had already just drank a bunch of water for my ultrasound. so that wasn’t fun, but it wasn’t the end of the world.
the ultrasound was sooooo cool!! first of all, the BOY is confirmed - there is NO DOUBT!! he is head down now, and we hope he stays that way!!! we got to see his little face, which was full and chubby!!! he was looking right at us, eyes open and everything. we could see him open and close his eyes, and we saw the eyelashes!!! he kept opening and closing his mouth too, and he had the hiccups during the u/s. probably from the glucalose!! we got a pretty good frontal shot u/s pic (not as good as the video), but as you know, our scanner isn’t working yet. sorry. she said he weighs a bit more than 2 lbs, and is about 14 inches long. she said his legs were very long! yay! we saw the chub of his thigh too. he looked muscley!! he is measuring pretty much normal on everything. :) he was SO adorable!!!!! it was so awesome seeing him again. his heartbeat was 155 again. edited to add: so far, no hair can be seen on his head! i was almost bald at my birth, and jerry THINKS he remembers his mom saying he had a head full of curls when he was born. so who knows - he has plenty of time to grow hair, right?!
i weighed in at 180 1/2 lbs, and he says i can gain another 15 lbs and be fine.
well that was the great news!!! i’m so thankful that the Lord answered our prayers once again, and we are both healthy and safe still!! :)

hello all! well, yesterday was the THIRD TIME in about a month that we had to reinstall windows, erasing everything on our computer once again. we really need to take this thing in soon, but money and all, ya know!!! so please email me at jerrynjenn @ gigowski . com so i can have your email AND your snail mail, just in case this becomes more long-term. plus i want snail mail for Christmas cards! so if i don’t respond to something, or you don’t see me around a lot soon, that is why!!!
as for the little place on my face, it is STILL there! it’s not bright red anymore, but it’s still there and still itching. i’m definitely going to ask the dr about it tomorrow. there are so many things i need to ask him!! tomorrow is my gtt so please pray for me about that! i’m still a tad nervous about it. i really don’t know what i’ll do if i have gestational diabetes!! and i’m also finding out if my placenta has traveled upwards as we all have prayed. i’m pretty sure it has, but i want to make sure! i can hardly wait to see jeremiah on the screen again!! he is so much bigger now, i don’t know how they’ll get a good shot of him at once. lol. i hope he’s active during it - i love watching him kick!
well today is my brother’s 25th birthday. most of the fam celebrated last night, but we didn’t go. two reasons: the time they wanted wouldn’t work for us because jerry was working. the time that would work for jerry wouldn’t work for them because heaven forbid they miss the colts’ game. (roll eyes!) ok that was a lot of working. LOL. also we really couldn’t afford it. my brother wanted a steak place, and we all know how expensive those are. just a steak place wouldn’t have killed us, but we wanted to get him a gift…it was one or the other. we’d just gone to the same steak place on our anniversary with a coupon. anyway, he liked the gift we sent along with mom. braveheart dvd. plus a ziplock bag of pictures from when we were kids. of course, his wife enjoyed those more than he did!
i really can’t believe the speed of this pregnancy. everyone always told me that it would go by sooooo slow….but it’s really going by at tremendous speed. hehe. with all the things coming up in the near future; three showers (maybe two), thanksgiving, parenting classes, my birthday, Christmas, new years…it’s just going to fly even more. who knows, jeremiah could decide to come at the end of december too. he’d be full-term by then.
well that’s it for now. i had a lot more i wanted to say, but like manda, i have preggo brain and can’t always think of what i want to write when i’m supposed to.

can you believe it…today i am 28 weeks, 7 months, in the third trimester! it’s just crazy to think about how fast this pregnancy is going.
i got really really sick yesterday and i don’t know why. also, there is a place on my chin that started out as an itch, but now it looks like i was burned by an iron or something. anyone else ever have strange skin-related things such as this?
i’m keeping this short since there’s a storm and i don’t want the computer to be struck by lightning. we have had too many close calls.
ok i’m back, and i have put two new pics up in the preggo pics section. i have grown a LOT since last week. i think i have gained about 5 or more lbs too!! but we’ll have to wait til tuesday (dr appt) to see for sure.

well wasn’t that nice and revealing…..

i made a yummy dinner tonight and i’m stuffed. it was baked chicken in italian dressing topped with crumbled crackers, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts (oddly, one of jerry’s and my favorites!), biscuits. i forgot a fruit. oh well. i guess we’ll live.
the mystery is explained…MARY BETH THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! mary beth sent us the camera as our anniversary gift!!! the chandra person was a middle-man from amazon. this is why we were thrown off. LOL. i sooooo love it, mary beth - you rock!
jeremiah has been moving a LOT lately. like not just kicks, but i can feel him MOVING all the time. sometimes i think i feel his head in a certain place (usually the left side), but i’m really not positive it’s his head and not his butt. LOLOL. but it’s really cool. i felt him moving under my ribs today. it’s gonna get painful soon! argh!
ok, new pregnant things to post about:
i am now officially waddling like a preggo lady. i thought i would be able to avoid this, but NOOOOOOO, the weight of my belly is now causing me to waddle. lol.
i have a hairy belly. not like gross, guy-looking hair, actually, it’s mostly blond, but still, lots of hair on my belly. my sister in law said she would shave it if it were her belly. LOL of course, she shaves her arms…so lets not go into it. hehe!
i also have stretch marks, but i don’t really mind them. they are sort of circular, going around my belly button. ??
my waistline is still not growing out. i’m beginning to wonder if it ever will. ??
i still keep getting hemmorhoids. i know, it’s gross, but i haven’t gotten past it. the other day i was in so much pain from *going* that i was crying, AND i was sweating so much from exhertion that i had to remove my clothing!!! lol. i was just thinking, THIS is what it has to feel like to give birth. i so would not make it without pain killers. i KNOW it.
i find out soon (on the 28th) whether i have placenta previa or not. i really don’t think i have it, but be praying about it…
